Please be patient with us!  JIC is going through some changes right now, but we're building towards something bigger and better.  So be sure to follow and continue to play along!!!
This week we're sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.......
......and they're giving away fab digis to the shop!
This week's theme is WASHI TAPE!
Use it any way or where you like on your project.  I used some chevron and stars tape behind my Sassy Wonder Woman image. I LOVE Wonder Woman and was so excited to colour this gal up.

Paper Shelter - Rosettes

Hello Everyone!  A new challenge from Just Inspirational Challenges.  I had soooo much fun with this one.  Our very talented sponsor is The Paper Shelter.  I just LOVE colouring these girls, and The Paper Shelter make so many unique characters and scenarios.

This week's theme is Rosettes.  They can be a little challenging if you've never done them before, but watch a YouTube video or two and you'll be a pro in no time.
Here's my make for the challenge.  I'm a big pet lover and I think I'm going to give this one to my dog's groomer.  I tried playing around with Copic blender solution and textures (washcloth, sponge, cotton) to give the monsters texture. The image is called Monster Pet Shop
Be sure to head over to Just Inspirational Challenges and enter your Rosettes!

Etsy Shop

This week I have some exciting news!  I wanted a piece of art that incorporated my baby, Winston.  I came up with this....
His silhouette is made up of all the nicknames I have for him.  I posted on facebook and had such a positive response I decided to open my own Etsy Shop!  I can now create custom pieces for anyone using their dog's silhouette and their nicknames, characteristics, commands, etc.  I send the file in jpeg format so people can print and frame, use it to make mousepads, calendars, mugs, iphone cases, ...any kind of photo gifts.  Plus by sending a digital image customers don't have to pay for shipping.  Who knows if it'll take off, but I had my first order within hours of posting, so fingers crossed!!  Please feel free to check out other examples at The Crafty Meerkat

On to my card for the week.  This is one of the newer Saturated Canary images called Tidy Up.  I just love colouring all her pleats and long hair!

Our talented sponsor is Penny Blossom and the fabulous prize is a gift certificate to the Penny Blossom shop.

Here's what I came up with using the combo of Squares, 3 Papers and Flowers; along with the Penny Blossom digi "Say Cheese".

My first challenge entry

Here's my entry for this week's Saturated Canary "Shabby Chic" challenge, as well as Sassy Studio's "Shabby Chic" challenge, using Violet Vintage from Saturated Canary.  I also posted it on My Craft Creations Digi-image challenge and Marker Pop's "Challenge 30".

First Copic cards

I've decided to start a blog so I can enter contests and hopefully one day join a design team (fingers crossed!).  I've recently started working with Copics; here are my first few cards.

Here is a card for my nephew's first birthday using a Mo Manning image, Biker Babe.

A Mother's Day card using an image from The Greeting farm, Maggie Cleaning.

Kenny K makes some cute adult images, great for cards for men.  This one is using Jessi Jane.

Jade Dragonne makes images both sassy and sweet, and best of all they're available for free for personal use!

The Paper Shelter makes some creative images for just about every interest and occasion.  This one is using The Dragon Whisperer

Saturated Canary is by far my favourite, and the majority of my cards use her images.  Here are a couple of them....
