SSD sponsored challenges

Hi everyone!
Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring two challenges I've entered this week.

First up is an Anything Goes challenge over at Crafting By Designs.   I used Canada Honey to make this cute CAS (and patriotic!) card.

Next up is Creative Knockouts with a Birthday card challenge.  I made this card for a friend of mine who LOVES Belle using Belle Honey

I was so happy with how her dress turned out looking shiny; and happy with her hair too.

JIC - Paper Shelter and hobbies

Hi everyone!
Time for another Team A challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges.

I worked with Cecilia by the Paper Shelter.  I don't know what it is about this image, but I'm always so drawn to it.  I had a great time trying to come up with the look of some realistic rich wood for her cello.

Can you guess the theme this week???

Copics used:
Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11, 04 R20
Hair - E49, 47, 44, 42
Dress - YG91, 93, 95, 97, 99
Cello - E21, 09, 19 YR27 W03, 05, 07

I've seen a lot of people use Frantage around an image but haven't found any around me.  Instead I used some regular embossing powder, sprinkled it around the image, and heated it from underneath with my heat gun.

If you haven't guessed, our theme is...
Hobbies and Sports!!

We have two fantastic sponsors this week who both make the cutest images that are so fun to colour!

Play along with us and you'll have a chance at winning some images from their shops!!

Christmas in July

Lately I've been right into Simply Betty images; even have had a couple custom ones done (projects to come soon!).  Some of my favourites are the Betty Boudoir and Betty Boo collections.  With so many Christmas in July challenges going on I decided to put a twist on this Birthday Boudoir Betty.  Not only did I use her in a non-traditional way, but I decided to do some non-traditional colours with my Christmas theme too.

Betty recently celebrated her 5th anniversary with her fun stamps, and released a whole Birthday Betty line-up.  Here are a couple other ones I created.

I think this one using Birthday Goddess is one of my favourite cards I've done....

and this one using Elegant Birthday portrait was my first ever easel card!

I'd love to be part of Betty's team, so if you're so inclined please leave me some love and let her know I'd be a great addition!!  Have a great day!

I'm entering my first card into the following challenges:
Creative Knockouts - Christmas in July
DL Art - Christmas in July
Southern Girls Challenge - Christmas is a coming
Little Red Wagon - Christmas
Digi Choosday - Xmas in July
Scrap Creations - Christmas in July
Sparkles Forum - Christmas in July
Corrosive Challenge - Christmas in July

Happy Canada Day!

Hi everyone!  Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians.  Hope you all enjoy it with the people you love most!

I had a bit of a card making marathon this weekend.  I have a couple DT challenges going live today...so please take a look and play along!

First up is the monthly challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges.  We were all SUPER excited when we heard who our awesome sponsors were....

AND

and our inspiration this month is

STITCHING (real or faux)

Here's my DT card using Powder Puff London.  The stitching may be hard to see in the photo, but I used my mini-sewing machine to sew the black paper to the green one.

Since I was having so much fun colouring Simply B images I did this one too

This is Rockin' Birthday Cutie.  The inside of the card says "we bitches live forever...".  haha!

Next up is JIC's Team A weekly challenge.  The challenge is sponsored by Zuri Vice President Jr
and the inspiration is ..

GLITTER!!!!

I used the Zuri image Little Mermaid.  I LOVE how her tail turned out.  I dotted some copics in a colour spectrum of BGs, Bs and BVs, blended with some BG70, then covered it in Platinum stickles.

Thanks for checking out the challenges and please be sure to play along!  Also, if you're not a follower...please take the time to follow my blog!
Thanks and have a great day!
