TSC - Toot My Scoot

Happy Hump Day from Team A at The Stamping Chef!

I have just realized I have had my blog for a year now.  I started it with the hope of being on a DT within a few years, and can say I've been a part of four awesome teams this year!!!

That brings me back to the most recent team I've joined....As always there's a new Anything Goes challenge over on the blog.  Be sure to check out the new look while you're there - it's awesome! You can see the great creations from the rest of the team too, including one featuring the new Roy and Tess characters.  You don't have to use a TSC image to play, but it will increase your odds of winning!

Here's mine, using the pin-up Toot My Scoot.  She comes with or without her scooter...
Copics used:

I added a sentiment I found on Pinterest by Mae West, who this sassy girl reminds me of!

GDT- Simply B Stamps and Paper Shelter DT call

Thanks for stopping by!
So many exciting things going on today - first and foremost being a new release over at Simply B Stamps.  I was lucky enough to get a spot to participate thanks to a FB challenge a few months back. The prize was a guest DT spot for this Sweet Ladies FB Fan page release, and an image of me in the line.
So without further adieu, here's Bon Bon Princess Melissa!!!

For the challenge my requirement is you have to use embossing on your project.  For the first time I tried embossing tinfoil and I quite like the look!

Here's Cherry Cordial Queen Corinne, and her requirement is lace and/or ribbons.

And here is the very adorable Peppermint Queen Betty, and to use her image you must follow the colour scheme red, white and chocolate.
How do you get your hands on these cuties you ask???  Well they're available in the Simply B Stamps store of course - along with TONS of other great images!!!  Also be sure to link into the blog to see some amazing creations the others have come up with, also using some new images not featured here!

Before I let you run off and damage your credit cards there's a couple of DT calls and another project I want to show.

First up is a DT call over at Just Inspirational Challenges.  Please visit the blog for details.  Let me tell you, this is a great DT to be on - very well run and we get the chance to work with lots of terrific sponsors - including Simply B and the Paper Shelter, both featured in this post.

And speaking of The Paper Shelter, they're having a DT call too which ends today!  I have already put my official entry as the Close To My Heart card I posted in July.  But this little gal was so cute she was screaming to be inked tonight, so I made another item to show off.
This is Summer Attitude, a little nod to this weekend being the end of summer :(

Ok - hope everyone has a very crafty weekend and can't wait to see all your creations soon!!!  xo

Flashback Friday - Mummy Honey

TGIF!!!
And as a cherry on top, it means Flashback Friday at Sassy Studio Designs which means you can get images at a discounted price!

This week we're featuring Medusa Honey and Mummy Honey.  I'm not normally into Halloween images, but this Mummy is just TOO CUTE!
Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Hair - C05, 07, 09 and black
Wrap - W01, 03, 05, 07

Because the image itself involves such texture, I tried to carry the theme over to my embellishments with distressed burlap and twine.

Just to give you a peek, here's what Medusa Honey looks like...
They're only on sale for one week so hurry up - and get started on your haunted cards!

TSC and Knowledge

Welcome everyone!  Wednesday brings a new challenge over at The Stamping Chef, and like always it's "Anything Goes".  You don't need to use a TSC image (although we love when you do!) and you could win 3 images of your choice.

This week I worked with this cheeky little lady called (Kn)owl(edge).  She comes with text of the same title, and I added the second part of the sentiment.

I LOOOOVE the vintage hair on this gal, and colouring those victory curls was right up my alley.  I can't stress enough how easily a card comes together with a TSC image.  By the time I'm done colouring they're so eye-catching that the rest of the card really doesn't take much to come together.  Here I added a frame cut with my Silhouette, a flourish, a couple buttons, and a sticker cap by Jolee's.
A little trick to make sure it comes together quickly is to choose your design paper before colouring your image.  That way there's no fussing about what to match it with!

Don't forget too there's still a few days left if you want to give The Artist a try.  She's available for a discounted price, and you could be featured as the new look of TSC!  Visit our FB page for all the details.
Here's my version.  Man, that was some FUN hair to figure out!
Thanks for looking and please join us this week!

JIC and step cards

Hi everyone
Welcome to another Team A challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges.  This week I made my first step card!

That's right, our theme this week is Step Cards!

We have two fantastic sponsors, so please visit their shop and show your support!  You're sure to find something you love.

and

I have a friend at work who's daughter is way into Irish Dance, and I'm always admiring her cute pictures on facebook.  When I saw the Beansie Doodles image Little Irish Dancer I was excited to make something for her.

If you're wondering why the hair is two different colours, it's because my friend's child wears a black wig but her natural colouring shows underneath.

You have a week to show off your step cards, so please do so!!  I've seen some really cool ones, and YouTube has a lot of great tutorials if you get stuck.

Thanks for looking and have a great week!
